Decorative Stainless Steel Finishes

A dedicated finish-led service for projects where the metal surface is part of the design.

PROJECT GEOMETRY / REVIEW BEFORE PRODUCTION

Project approach

Surface quality is not a final cosmetic afterthought.

On stainless work, weld geometry, heat input, distortion, abrasive sequence, grain direction, edge condition and handling all influence the result. We plan the route backwards from the required final surface. Approximately 20 years of hands-on finishing experience informs this work.

We do not publish invented machine lists, capacity figures or certifications. Material, dimensions, tolerances, documentation, testing and any regulated requirements are confirmed for the individual project before production.

Typical scope

What this capability can cover

Examples are indicative rather than a fixed catalogue. If the requirement is unusual, send the information you have and we can assess a practical manufacturing route.

  • fine satin
  • coarse directional grain
  • non-directional matte effects
  • decorative linear patterns
  • high polish
  • sample-matched finishes
Not limited to catalogue parts.

Drawings are ideal, but a sketch, photographs, measurements or an existing sample can also start the discussion.

Engineering review

Details that change the job

Surface target

Define satin, brushed, matte, high-polish, mirror-style or sample-matched appearance.

Geometry & access

Review corners, returns, weld positions and areas where abrasive access is restricted.

Consistency

Control grain direction, transitions, edge detail and visual uniformity across assemblies.

Protection

Clean, separate, wrap and protect finished surfaces before transport or onward assembly.

Manufacturing route

From requirement to dispatch condition

01Inspect incoming surface
02Agree finish reference
03Correct weld / surface
04Progress abrasive sequence
05Check consistency
06Protect finished surface

Stainless expertise

Finishing can determine how the part should be fabricated.

For appearance-sensitive stainless, the best result is easier to achieve when finishing access, grain direction, weld transitions and handling are considered before the component is welded.
